The next thing in which you waste your time is ‘friends’. Yes, your friends. If you again have a look at your day’s routine, you’ll yourselves find how much time you spend with your friends. If your friends propose you to go for shopping, you can’t refuse, and waste at least one hour of your day in it. Similarly, playing, not attending the lecture and many more such tasks eat up your precious time.
Now, suppose that you have two things in front of you to eat. One is very delicious or enjoyable but is harmful when it reaches your stomach. Another is bitter in taste but is very useful for your health. You have to decide, which one you should choose. Here in front of me, you’ll choose the second one. But let’s take up the case of your own life. In the above example, your tongue chooses the input and your stomach gives the result. Now, replace your tongue with your mind () and the stomach with your future, and check again what you do choose usually and what you should choose. Something that soothes your mind is comfortable in accepting but is going to spoil your future. These include time eating activities with your friends. The other thing which is not so harmonious to accept but is going to brighten your future includes devoted study of your syllabus. You obviously ought to choose the latter one.
